3 Days Ratti Gali Trip Overview

The primary attraction of the Kashmir trip is Ratti Gali. You will embark on a 3.5-hour adventurous jeep ride. It’s a challenging journey filled with bumps and dust, but the stunning view at the end makes it worthwhile. I wouldn’t suggest this ride for elderly individuals. The vehicle will be left in Dowarian, and from that point, you’ll need to take a jeep to reach the Ratti Gali base camp. At the base camp, you’ll discover a variety of delicious foods. It’s advisable to try the local Kashmiri cuisine.

From the Ratti base camp, you can either hike for 45 minutes or take a horse ride to reach Ratti Gali. Expect cold temperatures, so be sure to bring a jacket and a warm hat; otherwise, you might end up with a headache. I suggest taking the horse ride for a more enjoyable experience at Ratti Gali and then returning by hiking.

Many camping enthusiasts set up at the Ratti Gali base camp and relish the beautiful starry nights. Capturing images of the galaxy can also be a great idea. Appropriate Asian-style washrooms are available there. Camping is highly recommended.
