Why Lahore is Famous?
The reason why Lahore has such fame is the city being an epitome of historical preservation within South Asia. For centuries, it was considered to be a coveted treasure among all other cities in the Mughal Empire and served as a capital for the Sikh Empire. Later, it played the part of an important administrative center within the British colony. Each of these dynasties made their own imprint in this land by adding something new to the existing buildings with their magnificent architectural styles.
However, there is one more characteristic about Lahore which gives it its uniqueness. The first aspect is the old Walled City (Androon Shehr) where you can see the labyrinth of narrow and winding streets, which were laid more than one thousand years ago and the wooden balconies of historic buildings and bustling bazaars. On the other hand, there is another face of Lahore, which can be seen in nearby modern districts like Gulberg and DHA, which contain shopping centers, art exhibits and continental cafes.
